Soundstage has been so accommodating to our busy schedule and the diverse interests of our 4 kids. We love our music night - and under the tutelage of the talented, nurturing SoundStage instructors our kids have made rapid progress on the guitar, flute and violin and have really gained an appreciation for music!

We have been with SoundStage School of Music for over two years now. Our oldest daughter takes both violin and piano lessons with Monique Cannierre, and our younger daughter is learning guitar with Mickey Leone. The quality of instruction is excellent, and the teaching style is both nurturing and fun. Both of our daughters are very comfortable at SoundStage and look forward to lessons. SoundStage also holds recitals on a frequent basis, providing all of its students with ample opportunity to perform in a welcoming environment. At ages 8 and 6, our daughters have become comfortable performing in front of audiences of various sizes and venues, building self confidence which we believe will prove invaluable to them throughout their lives.

Katie has been a terrific vocal instructor for me. I'm not new to voice lessons, so I can attest to the fact that it is difficult to find someone who you feel really comfortable with. Katie is easy going, down to earth and a wonderful teacher. She is terrific at diagnosing what I am doing vocally and has a great way of explaining things to me so that they click. Plus, she works with me to attain my goals as a singer. My goal is to be really comfortable going to musical theatre auditions and from day one she has been focused on that with me.

Mr. Jamal Jones is a very good teacher and I am very lucky to have met him. He has taught me very good songs and has given me excellent advice on learning to play the trumpet better. Students would be happy to have him as a teacher.

I've studied with many teachers over the years with a wide variety of styles. Never has anyone so clearly pinpointed and helped me resolve vocal issues so quickly. I finally have some of the flexibility I've always wanted in my voice - and I know I'll only gain more as I continue to study with Katie Eagleson at Sound Stage. As a seasoned performer, I have sooo many bad habits. Some I'll keep as part of my "sound", some I have wanted to break forever, and some I didn't even know I had. Katie is the most amazing diagnostician I've ever trained with - she hears EVERYTHING, and was the first teacher (of many!) to be able to pinpoint the cause of certain limitations in my voice and present a practical solution. On top of that, Katie is sensitive to
protecting my signature sound while helping me develop a healthier vocal
style and more flexible instrument. Love...........Meghan Cary
My girls took "Music with Mickey" when they were ages 1 and 3. That experience really set the music foundation for us. It has been fun to come back around and re-connect with music on a different level, playing clarinet and piano at SoundStage (now ages 9 and 11). The atmosphere at SoundStage is just the right pace for us, and we love our instructors! We see so many familiar faces from school there when we go. It's really quite a community within our community, and we are lucky to have it!

All four of my kids have studied music at SoundStage at one time or another, and all have come away with very positive experiences. The school approaches music and young people from a place that, as a parent, I find supportive and enriching. My goal all along was for my kids to find joy in playing music so that they begin to make it a part of their lives. SoundStage has made that happen for them.

Our son began taking guitar lessons at Sound Stage several years ago with a desire to learn technique while learning to play the music of his favorite artists. Through the positive and nurturing environment at Sound Stage my son has accomplished this and more. With Mickey, along with the rest of the Sound Stage family, Joseph has not only learned to play alone but also he has played as part of ensemble groups through out the year and was a member of a band during the Summer Camps. He was exposed to various genre of music, learned to write his own music and was encouraged to play other instruments to round out the band.
Although our son started guitar lessons four years ago, our family has been part of the SoundStage & Makin' Music family for over 10 years. Our experience began when my daughter participated in Makin' Music at 3 years old. Mickey's love for his art was apparent the first day we met. My son then stepped in to enjoy the weekly engaging and entertaining props, songs and movements. As the children grew and there was a need for a more structured musical instruction we found Mickey again at SoundStage. We are so glad we did! -Deirdre Marino

Our daughter loves working with her voice teacher, Katie Eagleson. They have a great time during lessons and work diligently together to prepare for concerts and to help Amanda grow as a singer. Plus, Katie is a professional performer so Amanda really looks up to her. Our other daughter loves her drum teacher, Paul Deck. He makes the lesson interactive and fun! They jam together and always sound awesome and oh-so loud!
The staff at SoundStage is very accommodating about lessons and makeups. We have also participated in the summer camp and it was a wonderful way to show kids how to work together as a band. SoundStage has been a great match for our family! We highly recommend the school!

My daughter has been a student of SoundStage for several years and her confidence and skills has been greatly encouraged by their competent staff . Their laid back approach has enabled her to approach her music training in a relaxed and nurturing environment. I especially enjoy the fact that they encourage performing at whatever level you happen to be at for their frequent concerts. This has helped with her confidence in other performances and even public speaking.

One of the best things about Sound Stage is the teachers. The right teacher is a critical part of the musical experience. We currently take lessons from 4 different teachers each week and every one is exactly what my children need! These relationships have developed their musical skills, expanded their musical interests and helped to ensure that music will always be a part of their lives! - Jackie Gress
We've been a SoundStage Music family since February of 2007 and have had very positive experiences. The teachers are patient, interested, flexible, talented and committed to their students. The seasonal concerts are great confidence-builders, allowing kids at any level to perform for an appreciative audience. The price is right and the location is convenient. We just recently enrolled our younger son for his first keyboard lesson. He loves it!

My daughter started voice lessons just before her 13th birthday with Monique Canniere She was one of the first students at Sound Stage School of Music. Now five years later as she prepares to leave for college I can reflect on the value this experience had for her. These lessons allowed her to grow both personally and artistically. They enhanced her participation in extracurricular activities such as various choirs, and school plays. The nurturing environment created at Sound Stage provides a safe outlet for self-expression.
Now my son is a guitar student at Sound Stage and his teacher, Carol Tileston, continues to challenge and extend his grasp of musical concepts. He has also taken lessons on additional instruments over the summer months and always found them to be worthwhile. Music lessons at SoundStage have played an important role in my children’s lives. SoundStage is an asset to our community.
